Burmese Days: an Example of Imperialism Essay. Nineteenth century industrialization brought new riches and power to Western Europe, driving the expansion of letters for a, opportunities and the building of empires in goals undeveloped territories. Letters Resume! Although the honors, developed countries brought many modern technologies to under-developed nations, they also brought fierce racism and European arrogance. Burmese Days by letters resume George Orwell was written in 1834 as a satirical view of English imperial life in Burma. Orwell provides a realistic observation of the transfer pricing in india, arrogance the English demonstrated towards the natives and how they justified their actions. Europeans brought many new technologies to the countries that they imperialized. They built railroads and other types of show more content The attitudes of the English are wrong, but perhaps understandable. They assume that because the for a, Burmese are not educated in the same manner as the English, they are not as intelligent. Since the country is not industrialized they have no ambition. Since they are mild mannered and do not fight the English (who have guns), they have surrendered to honors stanford their natural place in for a society.
Since their skin is thesis, brown instead of white, they are not beautiful. One must question how history would change if the Europeans of the letters, 19th century and all people up to today would choose to learn and honors understand the cultures of others rather than pass judgments and make assumptions. Just as struggles between the upper and lower class were born from a lack of understanding for the other man’s condition in the early days of industrialization, the resume, same is true for the times of imperialism. The English in Burmese Days have taken control of the area with no A Passage to types of references in research India and Burmese Days Essays. Throughout the novel A Passage to India, by E.M. Forster, and Burmese Days, by George Orwell, the authors use race, culture, economics, and liberal humanism to discuss various colonial issues. These issues include controversies, power structures, injustices, and the idea of syncretism between the colonizers and the colonized. A Passage to India focuses largely on using culture and liberal humanism to explore issues of letters, colonialism while Burmese Days mainly uses race and economics to linguistic essay explore these topics clutch my interest. Resume! IV. George Orwell writes this book to bring forth his thoughts and knowledge gained from hrms homework living in working during the span of British colonization in Burma. For A! Orwell is resentful of that of British imperialistic control of Burmese wealth, and mistreatment of the native people.
Orwell pronounces how British control in Burma has ruined the culture of the natives and caused the few natives that gain political power to become corrupted and turn against their own people for their Essay on Book Report on George Orwell#x27;s Burmese Days. Orwell’s real impression of the Burmese wasn’t as positive as one could think while reading the passages about the behaviour of the English, sometimes he even seems to honors thesis loathe the letters for a, Burmese, but then again his Marxist ideas force him to write in favour of the socially disgraced. Registrar! Orwell points out letters resume, this conflict very consciously, as his own comment on his service in Burma proofs: “I was in the Indian Police for five years, and by the end of hrms homework, that time I hated the imperialism I was serving with a bitterness mainly Cuba, also led to the Spanish-American War. When the American naval ship, the USS Maine, exploded in the Havana Harbor, President McKinley immediately decided to go to war after being labeled a coward by yellow journalists. Resume! This is resume career goals, a prime example of how incidents in Latin American countries forced presidents to act rapidly and without much thought, causing America to form a bold and aggressive foreign policy. According to letters for a resume the United States, democracy and Christianity were principal elements workers find themselves working nontraditional hours as the trend toward a global, service-based economy intensifies. Most child care providers offer day care during the traditional working hours of nine to five. Now, only 1 out of 3 mothers stays at home and provides full-time care for her children. Dual career families are now the most predominant types of family in the American Plan Two: Mr. Robertson should put Shirley on papers, a 30-90 day performance improvement plan with defined expectations and if her scores do not improve then they need to inform her that they are going to have to letters for a resume let her go. I was shocked when I barely saw people walking in our neighborhood. The street was very quite it seems like no one even lives here. For A! When the European Club is asked to elect a non-white member all the Englishmen feel annoyed and infuriated that they must choose somebody that they consider of such filth and career goals low rank in society. Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy. The word “argument” can be used to designate a dispute or a fight, or it can be used more technically. The focus of this article is on understanding an argument as a collection of truth-bearers (that is, the things that bear truth and falsity, or are true and letters false) some of which are offered as reasons for one of stanford them, the conclusion. Letters For A? This article takes propositions rather than sentences or statements or utterances to be the primary truth bearers. The reasons offered within the argument are called “premises”, and the proposition that the premises are offered for is called the “conclusion”.
This sense of resume goals “argument” diverges not only from the resume, above sense of a dispute or fight but also from the formal logician’s sense according to transfer pricing case study, which an argument is merely a list of statements, one of which is designated as the for a resume, conclusion and the rest of honors thesis which are designated as premises regardless of whether the letters for a, premises are offered as reasons for believing the conclusion. Arguments, as understood in this article, are the subject of resume career study in critical thinking and informal logic courses in which students usually learn, among other things, how to identify, reconstruct, and evaluate arguments given outside the classroom. Arguments, in letters for a resume, this sense, are typically distinguished from essay, both implications and inferences. In asserting that a proposition P implies proposition Q, one does not thereby offer P as a reason for Q. The proposition frogs are mammals implies that frogs are not reptiles , but it is letters for a resume problematic to offer the former as a reason for believing the latter. If an resume goals, arguer offers an argument in order to persuade an audience that the conclusion is true, then it is plausible to think that the resume, arguer is inviting the audience to make an inference from the argument’s premises to its conclusion. Hrms Homework? However, an inference is a form of reasoning, and as such it is distinct from an argument in the sense of a collection of propositions (some of which are offered as reasons for the conclusion). One might plausibly think that a person S infers Q from P just in letters for a resume, case S comes to believe Q because S believes that P is true and because S believes that the truth of transfer pricing case study P justifies belief that Q. Letters For A Resume? But this movement of mind from P to Q is something different from the argument composed of just P and Q. The characterization of argument in the first paragraph requires development since there are forms of stanford registrar reasoning such as explanations which are not typically regarded as arguments even though (explanatory) reasons are offered for a proposition.
Two principal approaches to fine-tuning this first-step characterization of arguments are what may be called the structural and resume pragmatic approaches. The pragmatic approach is motivated by transfer pricing case the view that the nature of an argument cannot be completely captured in terms of its structure. In what follows, each approach is described, and criticism is briefly entertained. Along the way, distinctive features of arguments are highlighted that seemingly must be accounted for by any plausible characterization. The classification of arguments as deductive, inductive, and conductive is discussed in section 3. 1. The Structural Approach to Characterizing Arguments. Not any group of propositions qualifies as an resume, argument. The starting point for structural approaches is the thesis that the premises of an argument are reasons offered in support of its conclusion (for example, Govier 2010, p.1, Bassham, G., W. Irwin, H. Nardone, J. Wallace 2005, p.30, Copi and Cohen 2005, p.7; for discussion, see Johnson 2000, p.146ff ). Accordingly, a collection of propositions lacks the structure of an argument unless there is a reasoner who puts forward some as reasons in support of one of them. Types Of References In Research? Letting P 1 , P 2 , P 3 , …, and C range over propositions and R over reasoners, a structural characterization of argument takes the following form. A collection of propositions, P 1 , …, P n , C, is an argument if and only if there is a reasoner R who puts forward the letters resume, P i as reasons in support of C. The structure of an argument is not a function of the syntactic and semantic features of the propositions that compose it.
Rather, it is imposed on career goals, these propositions by letters the intentions of a reasoner to use some as support for linguistic, one of them. Typically in presenting an argument, a reasoner will use expressions to flag the letters resume, intended structural components of her argument. Hrms Homework? Typical premise indicators include: “because”, “since”, “for”, and “as”; typical conclusion indicators include “therefore”, “thus”, “hence”, and “so”. Note well: these expressions do not always function in these ways, and so their mere use does not necessitate the letters, presence of an argument. Different accounts of the types papers, nature of the intended support offered by the premises for the conclusion in for a resume, an argument generate different structural characterizations of arguments (for discussion see Hitchcock 2007). Plausibly, if a reasoner R puts forward premises in support of a conclusion C, then (i)-(iii) obtain. (i) The premises represent R’s reasons for believing that the conclusion is true and R thinks that her belief in the truth of the premises is justified. (ii) R believes that the premises make C more probable than not. (iii) (a) R believes that the premises are independent of C ( that is, R thinks that her reasons for the premises do not include belief that C is true), and (b) R believes that the premises are relevant to establishing that C is true. If we judge that a reasoner R presents an pricing study, argument as defined above, then by the lights of (i)-(iii) we believe that R believes that the premises justify belief in the truth of the conclusion. Resume? In what immediately follows, examples are given to explicate (i)-(iii). A: John is an essay, only child. B: John is letters resume not an only child; he said that Mary is his sister. If B presents an argument, then the following obtain. Career Goals? (i) B believes that the premise ( that is, Mary is John’s sister ) is true, B thinks this belief is justified, and the premise is letters for a resume B’s reason for maintaining the conclusion. (ii) B believes that John said that Mary is his sister makes it more likely than not that John is not an only child , and (iii) B thinks that that John said that Mary is his sister is both independent of the proposition that Mary is John’s sister and goals relevant to confirming it.
A: The Democrats and Republicans don’t seem willing to compromise. B: If the Democrats and Republicans are not willing to compromise, then the U.S. will go over letters for a resume the fiscal cliff. B’s assertion of a conditional does not require that B believe either the antecedent or consequent. Therefore, it is unlikely that B puts forward the hrms homework, Democrats and Republicans are not willing to compromise as a reason in support of the U.S. will go over the fiscal cliff , because it is unlikely that B believes either proposition. Letters? Hence, it is unlikely that B’s response to A has the structure of an argument, because (i) is not satisfied. A: Doctor B, what is the reason for stanford thesis, my uncle’s muscular weakness? B: The results of the letters resume, test are in. Transfer Case Study? Even though few syphilis patients get paresis, we suspect that the reason for your uncle’s paresis is the syphilis he suffered from 10 years ago. Dr. B offers reasons that explain why A’s uncle has paresis.
It is unreasonable to resume, think that B believes that the uncle’s being a syphilis victim makes it more likely than not that he has paresis, since B admits that having syphilis does not make it more likely than not that someone has (or will have) paresis. So, B’s response does not contain an argument, because (ii) is not satisfied. A: I don’t think that Bill will be at the party tonight. B: Bill will be at of references in research the party, because Bill will be at the party. Suppose that B believes that Bill will be at the party. Trivially, the truth of this proposition makes it more likely than not that he will be at the party.
Nevertheless, B is not presenting an argument. B’s response does not have the structure of an for a resume, argument, because (iiia) is not satisfied. Clearly, B does not offer a reason for Bill will be at the party that is independent of this. Perhaps, B’s response is in research intended to communicate her confidence that Bill will be at the party. By (iiia), a reasoner R puts forward Sasha Obama has a sibling in support of Sasha is not an only child only if R’s reasons for resume, believing do not include R’s belief that is true. If R puts forward in support of and, say, erroneously believes that the former is thesis stanford independent of the latter, then R’s argument would be defective by virtue of being circular.
Regarding (iiib), that Obama is U.S. Resume? President entails that the earth is the third planet from the sun or it isn’t , but it is plausible to suppose that the former does not support the latter because it is irrelevant to showing that the earth is the third planet from the thesis registrar, sun or it isn’t is true. Premises offered in support of a conclusion are either linked or convergent. This difference marks a structural distinction between arguments. Tom is happy only if he is playing guitar. Tom is letters for a not playing guitar. Suppose that a reasoner R offers and as reasons in support of . The argument is presented in what is called standard form ; the premises are listed first and a solid line separates them from the conclusion, which is prefaced by “ ? ”. Pricing Case Study? This symbol means “therefore”.
Premises and letters for a resume are linked because they do not support the conclusion independently of one another, that is, they support the conclusion jointly. It is unreasonable to essay, think that R offers and individually, as opposed to collectively, as reasons for . The following representation of the argument depicts the linkage of the premises. Combining and letters with the plus sign and underscoring them indicates that they are linked . The arrow indicates that they are offered in support of . To see a display of convergent premises, consider the stanford, following.
Tom said that he didn’t go to Samantha’s party. No one at Samantha’s party saw Tom there. ? Tom did not attend Samantha’s party. These premises are con vergent , because each is a reason that supports independently of the letters resume, other. The below diagram represents this. An extended argument is an linguistic, argument with at least one premise that a reasoner attempts to support explicitly. Extended arguments are more structurally complex than ones that are not extended. Consider the following. The keys are either in the kitchen or the bedroom. The keys are not in resume, the kitchen. I did not find the keys in the kitchen.
So, the keys must be in the bedroom. Let’s look there! The argument in standard form may be portrayed as follows: I just searched the kitchen and I did not find the keys. ? The keys are not in the kitchen. The keys are either in the kitchen or the bedroom. ? The keys are in the bedroom. Note that although the keys being in of references in research papers, the bedroom is a reason for the imperative, “Let’s look there!” (given the letters, desirability of finding the thesis registrar, keys), this proposition is not “truth apt” and so is not a component of the argument. An enthymeme is an for a, argument which is presented with at least one component that is suppressed.
A: I don’t know what to believe regarding the morality of abortion. B: You should believe that abortion is immoral. You’re a Catholic. That B puts forward A is a Catholic in support of A should believe that abortion is immoral suggests that B implicitly puts forward all Catholics should believe that abortion is immoral in support of . Proposition may plausibly be regarded as a suppressed premise of B’s argument. Note that and are linked. Transfer Pricing? A premise that is letters for a suppressed is never a reason for a conclusion independent of another explicitly offered for that conclusion. There are two main criticisms of structural characterizations of arguments. One criticism is honors that they are too weak because they turn non-arguments such as explanations into arguments. A: Why did this metal expand? B: It was heated and all metals expand when heated.
B offers explanatory reasons for the explanandum (what is explained): this metal expanded . It is plausible to see B offering these explanatory reasons in support of the explanandum. Letters Resume? The reasons B offers jointly support the truth of the explanandum, and thereby show that the expansion of the metal was to pricing case, be expected. It is in this way that B’s reasons enable A to letters for a resume, understand why the metal expanded. The second criticism is that structural characterizations are too strong. They rule out as arguments what intuitively seem to be arguments. A: Kelly maintains that no explanation is an argument. I don’t know what to believe. B: Neither do I. One reason for her view may be that the primary function of arguments, unlike explanations, is career goals persuasion. But I am not sure that this is the primary function of arguments. We should investigate this further.
B offers a reason, the primary function of arguments, unlike explanations, is persuasion , for the thesis no explanation is an argument . Letters Resume? Since B asserts neither nor , B does not put forward in support of . Transfer? Hence, by the above account, B’s reasoning does not qualify as an argument. A contrary view is that arguments can be used in ways other than showing that their conclusions are true. For example, arguments can be constructed for purposes of inquiry and as such can be used to investigate a hypothesis by seeing what reasons might be given to support a given proposition (see Meiland 1989 and Johnson and letters resume Blair 2006, p.10). Types Papers? Such arguments are sometimes referred to as exploratory arguments. On this approach, it is plausible to think that B constructs an exploratory argument [exercise for the reader: identify B’s suppressed premise]. Briefly, in defense of the structuralist account of arguments one response to the first criticism is to bite the letters for a, bullet and follow those who think that at least some explanations qualify as arguments (see Thomas 1986 who argues that all explanations are arguments). Given that there are exploratory arguments, the second criticism motivates either liberalizing the concept of support that premises may provide for a conclusion (so that, for example, B may be understood as offering in support of ) or dropping the notion of support all together in the structural characterization of arguments (for example, a collection of propositions is an argument if and thesis only if a reasoner offers some as reasons for one of them. See Sinnott-Armstrong and Fogelin 2010, p.3).
2. The Pragmatic Approach to Characterizing Arguments. The pragmatic approach is motivated by the view that the nature of an argument cannot be completely captured in terms of its structure. In contrast to structural definitions of arguments, pragmatic definitions appeal to the function of arguments. Different accounts of the purposes arguments serve generate different pragmatic definitions of letters arguments. The following pragmatic definition appeals to the use of arguments as tools of rational persuasion (for definitions of honors thesis stanford argument that make such an appeal, see Johnson 2000, p. 168; Walton 1996, p. 18ff; Hitchcock 2007, p.105ff) A collection of propositions is an argument if and letters only if there is a reasoner R who puts forward some of them (the premises) as reasons in support of one of of references papers them (the conclusion) in order to rationally persuade an audience of the letters for a, truth of the conclusion. One advantage of this definition over the previously given structural one is essay that it offers an explanation why arguments have the structure they do.
In order to rationally persuade an audience of the truth of a proposition, one must offer reasons in letters, support of that proposition. The appeal to rational persuasion is pricing case in india necessary to for a, distinguish arguments from other forms of persuasion such as threats. One question that arises is: What obligations does a reasoner incur by virtue of offering supporting reasons for a conclusion in order to rationally persuade an in research papers, audience of the conclusion? One might think that such a reasoner should be open to criticisms and for a obligated to respond to them persuasively (See Johnson 2000 p.144 et al , for development of this idea). By appealing to the aims that arguments serve, pragmatic definitions highlight the types in research papers, acts of presenting an argument in addition to letters, the arguments themselves. Hrms Homework? The field of argumentation, an letters for a, interdisciplinary field that includes rhetoric, informal logic, psychology, and cognitive science, highlights acts of presenting arguments and their contexts as topics for stanford, investigation that inform our understanding of arguments (see Houtlosser 2001 for letters, discussion of the stanford registrar, different perspectives of argument offered by different fields). For example, the acts of explaining and arguing—in sense highlighted here—have different aims.
Whereas the act of explaining is designed to increase the letters for a, audience’s comprehension, the act of arguing is aimed at enhancing the honors, acceptability of a standpoint. This difference in aim makes sense of the fact that in presenting an argument the reasoner believes that her standpoint is not yet acceptable to her audience, but in letters for a, presenting an explanation the reasoner knows or believes that the explanandum is already accepted by her audience (See van Eemeren and Grootendorst 1992, p.29, and Snoeck Henkemans 2001, p.232). These observations about the acts of explaining and career goals arguing motivate the above pragmatic definition of an argument and letters resume suggest that arguments and career goals explanations are distinct things. It is generally accepted that the same line of reasoning can function as an explanation in for a, one dialogical context and as an hrms homework, argument in another (see Groarke and Tindale 2004, p. 23ff for an example and discussion). Eemeren van, Grootendorst, and letters Snoeck Henkemans 2002 delivers a substantive account of how the evaluation of various types of arguments turns on considerations pertaining to the dialogical contexts within which they are presented and discussed. Note that, since the pragmatic definition appeals to the structure of propositions in characterizing arguments, it inherits the criticisms of structural definitions. In addition, the hrms homework, question arises whether it captures the variety of purposes arguments may serve. It has been urged that arguments can aim at engendering any one of a full range of attitudes towards their conclusions (for example, Pinto 1991). For example, a reasoner can offer premises for a conclusion C in order to get her audience to withhold assent from C, suspect that C is true, believe that is merely possible that C is true, or to be afraid that C is true.
The thought here is that these are alternatives to convincing an audience of the truth of C. A proponent of letters for a resume a pragmatic definition of argument may grant that there are uses of arguments not accounted for by her definition, and propose that the definition is stanford registrar stipulative. But then a case needs to for a resume, be made why theorizing about arguments from a pragmatic approach should be anchored to such a definition when it does not reflect all legitimate uses of arguments. Another line of criticism of the pragmatic approach is its rejecting that arguments themselves have a function (Goodwin 2007) and arguing that the function of persuasion should be assigned to linguistic essay, the dialogical contexts in which arguments take place (Doury 2011). 3. Deductive, Inductive, and Conductive Arguments. Arguments are commonly classified as deductive or inductive (for example, Copi, I. and C. Cohen 2005, Sinnott-Armstrong and Fogelin 2010). A deductive argument is an argument that an arguer puts forward as valid. For a valid argument, it is not possible for the premises to be true with the conclusion false. That is, necessarily if the premises are true, then the conclusion is true. Thus we may say that the truth of the premises in a valid argument guarantees that the conclusion is also true. Letters Resume? The following is an example of a valid argument: Tom is happy only if the Tigers win , the Tigers lost; therefore, Tom is definitely not happy. A step-by-step derivation of the conclusion of a valid argument from its premises is called a proof . In the context of a proof, the given premises of an argument may be viewed as initial premises.
The propositions produced at the steps leading to the conclusion are called derived premises. Each step in the derivation is justified by a principle of inference. Whether the derived premises are components of a valid argument is a difficult question that is honors thesis stanford beyond the scope of this article. An inductive argument is an argument that an arguer puts forward as inductively strong . In an inductive argument, the premises are intended only to be so strong that, if they were true, then it would be unlikely , although possible, that the conclusion is false. If the letters for a resume, truth of the premises makes it unlikely (but not impossible) that the conclusion is career false, then we may say that the argument is inductively strong. The following is an letters for a resume, example of an inductively strong argument: 97% of the Republicans in town Z voted for McX, Jones is a Republican in town Z; therefore, Jones voted for McX . In an stanford, argument like this, an arguer often will conclude Jones probably voted for resume, McX instead of Jones voted for McX, because they are signaling with the word probably that they intend to present an argument that is case in india inductively strong but not valid. In order to evaluate an argument it is important to determine whether or not it is deductive or inductive. For A Resume? It is inappropriate to criticize an inductively strong argument for being invalid. Based on transfer case, the above characterizations, whether an argument is deductive or inductive turns on whether the arguer intends the argument to be valid or merely inductively strong, respectively. Sometimes the presence of certain expressions such as ‘ definitely ’ and ‘ probably ’ in the above two arguments indicate the relevant intensions of the arguer.
Charity dictates that an invalid argument which is inductively strong be evaluated as an inductive argument unless there is clear evidence to the contrary. Conductive arguments have been put forward as a third category of for a arguments (for example, Govier 2010). A conductive argument is an argument whose premises are convergent; the premises count separately in support of the conclusion. If one or more premises were removed from the argument, the resume career goals, degree of for a resume support offered by the remaining premises would stay the same. The previously given example of an argument with convergent premises is a conductive argument. The following is another example of hrms homework a conductive argument. It most likely won’t rain tomorrow. Letters Resume? The sky is red tonight. Also, the weather channel reported a 30% chance of rain for tomorrow.
The primary rationale for distinguishing conductive arguments from deductive and inductive ones is as follows. First, the premises of conductive arguments are always convergent, but the premises of deductive and inductive arguments are never convergent. Second, the evaluation of arguments with convergent premises requires not only that each premise be evaluated individually as support for the conclusion, but also the degree to which the premises support the conclusion collectively must be determined. This second consideration mitigates against treating conductive arguments merely as a collection of subarguments, each of which is deductive or inductive. The basic idea is that the support that the convergent premises taken together provide the conclusion must be considered in essay, the evaluation of a conductive argument. With respect to the above conductive argument, the sky is red tonight and the weather channel reported a 30% chance of letters for a resume rain for resume career, tomorrow are offered together as (convergent) reasons for It most likely won’t rain tomorrow . Perhaps, collectively, but not individually, these reasons would persuade an addressee that it most likely won’t rain tomorrow. A group of for a resume propositions constitutes an argument only if some are offered as reasons for one of them. Two approaches to identifying the definitive characteristics of arguments are the structural and pragmatic approaches. On both approaches, whether an act of offering reasons for a proposition P yields an argument depends on what the reasoner believes regarding both the truth of the reasons and the relationship between the reasons and P. A typical use of an argument is to rationally persuade its audience of the truth of the conclusion. To be effective in realizing this aim, the reasoner must think that there is real potential in the relevant context for her audience to be rationally persuaded of the conclusion by means of the offered premises.
What, exactly, this presupposes about the audience depends on what the hrms homework, argument is and the context in which it is given. For A? An argument may be classified as deductive, inductive, or conductive. Its classification into in research one of these categories is letters for a a prerequisite for its proper evaluation.

This one is for a a great excuse, it’s worked a fair few times for me, anyway… “ I didn’t understand the homework, could you explain it to me so I can give it a second go? ” – This excuse works better more for of references in research, maths or question based homework rather than essays. It’s a pretty believable one (especially next to letters, excuse 1.). “ I’ve been so ill over the past few days, so I haven’t been able to do any of my homework ,” – Bed ridden, feverish and unable to distinguish your cat from your sheet of stanford thesis homework, how on letters for a resume, earth can you be expected to work in this state?! Tell the truth – After using all these excuses, perhaps it’s time to pull out hrms homework your triumph card – the letters for a resume truth. On the occasion, your teacher may appreciate your use of the stanford truth rather than the usual bombardment of (unbelievable) excuses. Use this one when you’re feeling especially sincere (and desperate). I hope these excuses have been helpful, just remember that the more you use them, the resume more unbelievable they’ll become to your teacher. In fact, it may just be better (and easier) for you to hand in linguistic you homework on letters for a resume, time!
90 Responses to “10 Best Excuses for Not Doing Your Homework” The best one I heard at uni was “my desk set on thesis registrar, fire.” Seriously. how in the world did your desk catch on for a, fire? Eugh I hate it when my desk spontaneously combusts :/ Especially when I’m trying to write!! First World Problems. Well you never know knowing us students #128521;
haha that’s funny but in hrms homework chemistry that would be more realistic. Why don’t you just go to the bathroom when she hands it out, and the next day explain what happened? Its being honest, with a twist right? I think i got a good exuse “my homewrk got stuk in my locker” I once told my teacher that I accidently took my little sister’s homework and letters, so she must have mine. The teacher bought it and I got a extra 2 days! My friend has said that she left her jotter @ home also works with memory stick etc. Just to remember to use different teachers. The one i use is that i forgot it, then when you next have that lesson say ‘Oh I put it on your desk’, only works if the thesis registrar teacher has a particulary messy desk though or a desk in another room. My best one is: I gave it to you when the teacher says huh? or no you act suprised and say yes i did! and then the letters for a teacher says but i dont remember that you say i do then they usually let u off the of references in research papers hook. My excuses are: I did it, and then I put it in letters resume my bag, but I wanted to check it and then i checked it and never put it back in!
Ooopsy! I left it in honors thesis stanford my desk and letters, didn’t take it home. Once I said: ( when the class was silent ) i forgot my homework, left it at a friends, LOL. I actually said lol #128578; My best is, I’ll bring it tomorrow… Next day, “My parents dragged me into the city for linguistic essay, dinner and we didn’t get home till 1:00. It works all the time… Only if you live near the city but not in the city. The best one I ever received was: My Mom still has it!
I told her to hurry up. Lol that’s pretty funny. just say the truth people it is`nt gonna kill u or will it heeehhahah. Say that you left your homework on the bus or car. speak for yourself! i got 4 detentions in one day once! so I got two weeks of detention in one day for throwing a chair at the teacher.
Me=If you do not do anything you don’t get in trouble right?Teacher=Right. Resume. Me=i did not do my home work so i’m not in types of references trouble Ha Ha Teacher= -_- Lmfao these r the worst excuses ever. student: Miss/Sir Will you tell me off for something I didn’t do? teacher:Of course not. student:Good because I didn’t do my homework.
Ha! That’s really funny. The weirdest excuse i have heard is letters either my hampster ate it or it got abducted by papers, ailens. Thanks guys you really helped -.- thank you i love the for a excuses do you have a excuse for stanford thesis, drama homework!? #128577; Homework in Drama?
I never remember that! i woud=ldnt say the truth to my teacher shes strict all she says is letters for a detentoin. I actually did forget what now. In those situations it’s best to just come clean about it. Teachers are getting wise to excuses now so I think simply saying you forgot it is the best course of action! #128577; actually i was on a wedding so i was busy the resume whole day and had to attend functions at night u know indian weddings #128512; u could say my little sister put it in the bin but even if i have excuses i get punished but i get over for a it.
once said hamster ate my home work and teacher belived me. Must be a big hamster #128578; YOU ARE SO WEIRD! #128521; I told my German teacher my rabbit ate my homework once. The thing is, he actually did. I got another sheet and he got to it again. I brought it in resume the next day and it had bite marks on letters resume, the corner. Hrms Homework. LOL.
“Wow, ooh. I think i was absent when the homework was given out. Classic excuse – until the resume teacher whips out the register that is… I agree that’s a good excuses on only some teacher just keep that in thesis mind. That excuses are great ! But if u in Viet Nam that is not the for a resume best excuse because every teacher will be detention all week : to clean thee room every morning if you don’t want they will kick you out the skool because you big fault to goals, lie your teacher . I would say, after I finished it, I left it on the Kitchen table last night and my little brother drew all over it, it was too late to letters for a resume, start it again, I was going to do it in the morning but I just didn’t have enough time. That’l work at school, but not at something like university level. I recall someone using an excuse like that and the lecturer said ‘well, I want to see it…’
say that ur mother is coming to give u then escape lol this wis very funny i did it coulpe of times never got caought. The best one that I have had and hasn’t ever not worked is; in the morning before the homework is set I quickly make a Word file with nothing on of references in research papers, then save it as so it only for a resume, works on mac, and then email it to the teacher or put it on thesis stanford, a memory stick (this takes about a couple minuets). Letters For A. So then as the teacher will as I say “I have it” and essay, show them my memory stick on for a resume, the teachers computer, and hrms homework, the file will not open because it’ll only letters for a, work on mac (not on Windows that the school have) and I can say “oh there must be something wrong with the schools system” and it doesn’t look bad on honors, me, or if I email it to letters for a, the teacher they’ll say they can’t open it and I will say its the schools systems fault. Resume Career. After I say ok i’ve done it so i’ll print it of tonight, as the letters resume teacher has believed that you have done the hrms homework homework they’ll allow you an extra day to for a resume, ‘print it of at home’ so this gives me an extra day to do homework. Sounds complicated but its really not, oh and a tip don’t try with with an ICT teacher though. All of my teachers have macs so that wouldn’t work haha lol.
best homework exuses ever! my teacher is so strict. I find the excuses very nerve racking for me because I’m kinda a goody goody and I’ve only lied to my teacher like once or twice. homework due date: ill bring it tomorrow. tomorrow: i handed it in yesterday. The best excuse is I left my bag on a bench and it got stolen I’m going to hrms homework, the police station after school to get it, my homework was inside. I’m really sorry. Charlie Ellis comment is brillant. None of them will work with my teachers trust me i just say my dad threw it in bin on for a, accident or get my mum for write a note for me. The best / most pathetic excuse I’ve ever heard that one of resume career my classmates used a few years ago was….” You said do questions 1-10. For A. You didn’t say bring them though ” It was really funny since my teacher wasn’t capable of replying. Say how you have a tutor coming over to your house and you are going to honors stanford, do your homework with him and you will bring it the next day.
My excuse is I stayed up until 10:00 and (someone) told me to letters for a resume, go to bed and look tired. I actually forgot my bag once and only realised at the train station, my teacher didn’t believe me and was really angry. They always seem to be more angry when you actually did forget to bring it! The way I do it (this only works if you are on a computer and thesis, if your school/college uses an emailing system) is for a resume I either send a document with a load of essay gibberish in letters for a resume it to the WRONG EMAIL ADRESS or I “accidentally” send them the wrong homework- (i tried this with physics homework, sending in geography homework in instead) We were camping once and of references papers, my dog did chew my work, three folders worth! I brought it in and was excused. Funny that teachers don’t believe this excuse, when it can and resume, has happened. Get the whole class to pretend that the homework is due in on stanford thesis, a later date. It’s worked a couple of times but it really does depend on how organised the teacher is. i go to morehall im in letters resume year 4 my best one is my cat ate it but that’s not funny so if you join that school just say my cat ate it. You ASKED me to do it you didn’t TELL me to so I thought it was optional.
Best just go im sure i put it in my bag maybe someone took it out. hahaha these are great. The best one I’ve every heard was: My baby brother ate it. Teacher have anyone told you that your hair look nice today. My homework was eaten by the cat! The best one I’ve heard is stanford thesis you told us to do our homework but you did not tell us to bring it in. I always go for letters for a resume, “I forgot it at my house” or “I forgot it at school yesterday”!! never try aliens ate my homework. 1) Say that I forgot it in the car because we went to a restaurant with my family and in research, I had to letters for a resume, do it in the car. 2) Ask the whole class to fake the due date.
Works wonders =P. 3) Fake cry and tell your teacher that you are VERY sorry and that your parents will kill you if you get a zero and that you will do the best work of thesis all if you can get it in letters tomorrow (you better do a good job in this case but it almost always works for registrar, me.) 4) My brother stole my lap top and started playing games and then the computer crashed! 5) My brother dropped my lap top (works great if your laptop is for a partially broken but that’s a one time thing) The fabulous excuse- (an old student of my teacher apparently used this excuse and types, he was excused for how fabulous it was) I was doing my homework in my Llama’s shed and I turned around to resume, give it some hay. When I turned around the honors thesis stanford homework was in resume the Llama’s mouth! (what’s ironic is types of references papers that he doesn’t own a Llama XD.
I think that the resume best one is, ” I spilt tea on it this Moring” or just cry say your tummy hurts get sent to stanford, the nurse and miss the lesson. umm the letters one i use a lot is that i just say that either: 1: i sent it to study in india, her on email but it musn’t have gone through. 2:’um i must have been at for a resume, the bathroom when you handed it out’ MAYBE if your teacher is linguistic really old and forgetful just say that you handed it in a few days before of for a you left it on linguistic essay, his/her desk before school? My friend always comes up with the most ridiculous, and mean excuses. Letters. They normally involve his family and resume, tragedies. Which of course, is a lie.
But our teacher feels sorry for him anyway. I think one of the best excuses is to say you accidentally forgot it on the bus or something like that, other option is to always take acting class and for a resume, make urself look super dissapointed in transfer study urself…. Letters. ( always worked for me) anyways good luck #128578; except for that last one! LOL. what always works is linguistic I had practice and letters, twisted my ankle so I was icing it and stanford, couldn’t do it.
Once I didnt do my homework for dt. When it was due I said my brother nicked it and accidentally dropped it in the sink when my mum was washing up. Resume. I even bought in a wet ball of papers paper to letters resume, prove it but if you use that exuse make sure its really soaked so the teacher cant unscrew it and see its blank. I once said that my bag fell over and everything fell out, I must have not picked it up and it got blew away, i got another week to pricing study in india, do it as it was supposed to letters for a, be a big load of work :3. Best one I heard today in Math was. I was taking my goldfish for career, a walk sir. one ive heard was ” I left it in my school trousers and my mum put them in the wash so heres whats left of my sheet. If you use exercise books to resume, complete your homework and resume, you have two books of the same colour for letters resume, different lessons (in our school our English and Science books are literally the same colour) just tell your teacher that you brought in the wrong book and essay, show it to them as proof. Either that or just hand in your book and letters for a resume, if they tell you that they didn’t see any homework in there just tell them that you did it on lined paper and it must have fallen out (this actually worked for me). #128578; The best excuse I’ve heard is when I was taking my puppy out for pricing study in india, a walk I had my school bag with me and my homework flew out of my bag and when i wasn’t looking my puppy grabbed ahold of it and tore it to pieces when I finally saw him with a piece of paper in his mouth I took it off of him and only realised that it was my homework when I opened it up I was so devastated.
the best homework excuse is to tell you teacher that you went to vacation forgot every pieces of homework that was assigned because you were having so much fun when you went to resume, vacation and all you did was just party and play care about nothing related to honors thesis stanford, school. I think the best excuse is “There was a funeral yesterday and i didn’t have time to do it” 1) Say that I forgot it in the car because we went to a restaurant with my family and I had to do it in letters resume the car. 2) Ask the linguistic whole class to fake the due date. Works wonders =P. 3) Fake cry and letters for a, tell your teacher that you are VERY sorry and essay, that your parents will kill you if you get a zero and that you will do the best work of all if you can get it in tomorrow (you better do a good job in this case but it almost always works for me.) 4) My brother stole my lap top and letters for a resume, started playing games and then the computer crashed! 5) My brother dropped my lap top (works great if your laptop is partially broken but that’s a one time thing)
The fabulous excuse- (an old student of my teacher apparently used this excuse and hrms homework, he was excused for how fabulous it was) I was doing my homework in my Llama’s shed and I turned around to give it some hay. When I turned around the homework was in the Llama’s mouth! (what’s ironic is that he doesn’t own a Llama XD. The best excuse is to draw lines over the page, soak it, then crunch it up and bring it in. Tell your teacher that you did it outside then it started raining/tell them that you left it in letters resume you trouser poket over stanford registrar the weekend/don’t crunch it up, leave it in your bag and letters resume, say you bottle leaked XD. Best excuse ever: The internet is Down! I come up with something like. -Really bad migraine.
-Tutor canceled last minute and stanford, you can have it in by tomorrow. -Water bottle spilled all over for a your bag. -Your mom had baby. -Visit someone in hospital. The made up file name always works.
Just send them it in linguistic an email and attach a made up file ( for for a, example essay.psfx) It sounds pretty real but when they go to open it the honors computer will not have the letters right program to open it! Works a charm. My best is: I left it in hrms homework my pants so my mom wash them.
